Projects And Prototypes

As you can clearly see from the thumbnails below, we really need a professional photography studio, for taking high quality photographs and creating videos. Until we acquire the proper funding for a nice studio, the Projects section of this web site is simply intended to provide a mere glimpse of our interests, projects, and prototypes. However it is worth noting that this web page does not include all of our various prototypes, nor does it fully convey all of our interests and capabilities. In the future, there will be individual pages set aside for each listing below and more listings will be added. The future web pages will contain quality photographs and videos, as well as thorough documentation.

CNC Wire Bender

The CNC Wire Bending Machine is by far the most complicated task ever undertaken by Novel Solutions. On average and depending on the complexity of the wire form, this machine can output 25,000 units per day. Although not shown, an automated packaging machine was part of this project.
Programmable Semi-Automatic Self-Adhesive Label Dispenser

This is a prototype for a future product line. Each model of the future line will have different label width capabilities, with the advancement of the label being fully programmable. The machine is programmed by a text file via microSD card and the labels are advanced by the push of a button.
Printed Circut Board Saw

Cutting circuit board material is a tuff job, but this saw cuts through the copper clad fiberglass like butter. The secret to easy cutting is a diamond blade.
Extruder For 3D Printer

This extruder is almost complete, with the exception of the heating element, nozzle, and thermistor. There is a 3D printer currently in the works, and this extruder will be bolted onto that.
Programmable Semi-Automatic Self-Adhesive Hang Tab Dispenser

This is a prototype for a future product line. Each model of the future line will have different hang tab length and width capabilities, with the advancement of the hang tab being fully programmable. The machine is programmed by a text file via microSD card and the hang tabs are advanced by the push of a button. Please note that this prototype is not quite ready for manufacturing.
Hot Wire Foam Cutter

This is a prototype for a future product that will be sold in kits, with some assembly required, and although not shown, this product will also include a rip fence. Due to insurance purposes and government regulations, the power supply and the controller must be purchased separately.
Tin Can Exposure Box/Cylinder

The Tin Can Exposure Box/Cylinder is a Do-It-Yourself project for the electronics enthusiast. With this unit, double-sided 3" X 4" (or less) printed circuit boards can be exposed quickly and easily. Extensive documentation exists pertaining to the use of this project, but will be posted at a later date, however please click here for existing documentation pertaining to assembly.
PCB Prototyping Table

This Do-It-Yourself project is also intended for the electronics enthusiast and should be constructed for use with the Tin Can Exposure Box/Cylinder. This table provides a dedicated work area for exposing, developing, and etching double-sided 3" X 4" (or less) printed circuit boards. Further documentation is not yet available.
Portable EEPROM Programmer

This is an old design of a Portable EEPROM Programmer intended for the Parallax Propeller Microcontroller. A new design is currently under construction, which will have many more options than the original, and the new design will be a prototype of a future product that will be sold in complete ready-to-solder electronic kits.
Three Axis CNC Machine

Although very close to completion, it is highly doubtful that this prototype will ever see the marketplace. Since working on this prototype, Novel Solutions has developed a new design of linear actuators, and most, if not all of our future CNC machines, will be based upon this new design of linear actuator.
